Species conservation action plans The development and implementation of Species Conservation Action Plans (SCAPs) for the flagship species implementation is used as a tool for wetlands ecosystem and biodiversity conservation in the Lower Mekong Basin.
Four flagship species (Mekong Giant Catfish, Sarus Crane, Siamese Crocodile and Irrawaddy Dolphin) have been selected for the Mekong Wetlands Biodiversity Programme.
